Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Professional BackgroundMichael has been active in the real estate industry since 1978 when he acquired his first student housing property. He leads the development of Trinitas’ strategic vision and direction. Prior to entering real estate, Mike served as Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the national retailer, General Nutrition Centers (GNC).
Educational BackgroundMichael received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
Activities and AssociationsMichael is a member of his local builder, realtor and apartment associations. He is also an active member of his local chamber of commerce and is a deacon of his church.
Loren P. King
Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel
Professional BackgroundLoren leads Trinitas’ business operations, including its real estate development, investor and lender relations, legal strategy, and property management operations. Prior to co-founding Trinitas, he served as a corporate law attorney for Frost Brown Todd, a multi-state, full-service law firm. In this role, Loren focused on new ventures and emerging businesses as well as employee benefits law and executive compensation. Prior to completing his law degree and MBA, Loren worked in the international corporate affairs office of a multinational Fortune 500 company.
Educational BackgroundLoren is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Law and earned a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, with a concentration in New Venture and Real Estate Finance. He also earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Economics from DePauw University.
Activities and AssociationsLoren serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Apartment Association and is a member of the Indiana and Kentucky Bar Associations, his local chamber of commerce, and his local, state and national apartment associations. He is also actively involved with the youth programs at his local church.
Mark D. Larson
Chief Financial Officer
Professional BackgroundMark brings over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, accounting and asset management to his role as Trinitas Ventures’ Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Mark oversees the capital structure of Trinitas, including the maintenance and development of key debt and equity relationships for the company. Mark also directly manages the accounting and finance divisions of the company, including budgeting, forecasting and the maintenance of joint venture relations with Trinitas’ equity partners. Before joining Trinitas, Mark served as director of financial planning and analysis for General Growth Properties, Inc., a public retail REIT that owns, manages, and develops super-regional shopping centers. Prior to his finance role at GGP, Mark worked in managerial capacities in the accounting, asset management, and joint venture relations groups at the company. Preceding his career at General Growth, he worked for The Taubman Company, a public retail REIT engaged in the development and management of regional and super regional shopping centers. Throughout his real estate career, Mark has been directly or indirectly involved with $8B of acquisitions, $5B of secured property refinancings, and $3B of development investment.
Educational BackgroundMark is a graduate of the University of North Florida and holds a Certificate in Management Accounting.
Activities and AssociationsMark is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), and an associate member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Christopher M. King
Vice President, Development and Construction Operations
Professional BackgroundChris has been involved in real estate development for over ten years, including the founding of Mida Development Group LLC, which developed, constructed and managed a large student apartment community in Indiana. Presently, Chris oversees and manages the development and construction operations for Trinitas Ventures, and is actively involved in site selection and acquisition for future developments. He also provides legal counsel and services for Trinitas Ventures and its related companies, specializing in real estate development, construction, and property management.
Educational BackgroundChris is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and New York University School of Law. He also earned the designation of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional. The LEED Certification Program is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
Activities and AssociationsChris is a member of the Indiana Bar Association, the Tippecanoe County Bar Association and the Chamber of Commerce. He also leads youth and teen programs at his local church.
David W. Ravensberg
Director, Business Development
Professional BackgroundDavid serves as Trinitas' Director of Business Development. David directs Trinitas project identification, new business ventures, market research, due diligence and real estate underwriting. Prior to joining Trinitas, he was employed with Scannell Properties, the nation's largest FedEx Ground Developer, where he handled site acquisition and entitlements, construction financing and property dispositions. David began his real estate career as a Financial Analyst and Sales Associate with the Multi-Family Group of CB Richard Ellis - Indianapolis.
Educational BackgroundDavid is a graduate of Indiana University.
Activities and AssociationsDavid is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Candidate and also holds his Real Estate Salesperson license in the State of Indiana.
Andrew G. Wishart
Director, Construction Operations
Professional BackgroundAndrew has been involved in commercial construction for 24 years and has directed the construction of over $800 million of commercial real estate. Throughout his extensive career in construction, Andrew’s responsibilities have ranged from project supervision of multiple simultaneous projects to management of single, large-scale projects. As Director of Construction Operations, Andrew directs the construction of Trinitas’ student housing projects, and is a member of Trinitas’ development committee.
Prior to joining Trinitas, Andrew served as a Field Engineer, Project Superintendent, Project Engineer, Project Manager & Senior Project Manager for Turner Construction Company, an $8 billion in annual construction volume construction company building globally in a diverse array of construction segments.
Andrew earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Geology/Geophysics from Indiana University.
Activities and AssociationsAndrew enjoys woodworking, coaching high school lacrosse and is LEED AP BD+C accredited.
Joseph C. Blake
Director, Development and Construction Operations
Professional BackgroundMr. Blake has been involved in various aspects of facility planning, construction and management for the past twenty-five years. Mr. Blake currently manages the land development and facility construction operations for Trinitas, its subsidiaries and affiliates. Prior to joining Trinitas, Mr. Blake worked for a Fortune 100 company providing strategic facility planning, site master planning, corporate real estate services, and property management. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Indiana and a licensed real estate agent.
Educational BackgroundMr. Blake earned both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from Purdue University with an emphasis in structural analysis and design.
Activities and AssociationsMr. Blake is a member of American Institute of Steel Construction and an Indiana registered Professional Engineer. He actively serves in his local church, recently leading a major site development and the construction of a community center. Mr. Blake also uses his strategic planning sckills to lead his church and to assist other churches in the development of strategic ministry plans.
Travis J. Vencel
Director, Site Acquisition and Planning
Professional BackgroundTravis directs Trinitas' real estate site acquisitions and development planning and approvals efforts, and serves on the company's development and construction committees. Before joining Trinitas, Travis founded and operated a real estate consulting, brokerage, and appraisal company, as well as a property management company focused primarily on student housing. Travis is an Indiana Real Estate Broker and a Indiana Certified General Appraiser and holds an SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute.
Educational BackgroundTravis is a graduate of Hanover College.
Activities and AssociationsTravis is the Chair of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the City of Bloomington Plan Commission. Travis has served on the Apartment Association of Indiana Board of Directors as well as the Chair of the Hoosier Chapter of the Appraisal Institute Board of Directors.
Karen S. Caprarella
Director, Business Development - Asset and Property Management
Professional BackgroundKaren has been involved in asset and property management since 1988. She has managed commercial, retail and apartment buildings throughout the country, ranging from conventional to tax credit to subsidized housing. Prior to joining Trinitas, she managed portfolios for institutional owners, as well as private individuals for national property management companies. Karen has also acted as asset manager for several commercial Class A office buildings throughout the country.
Educational BackgroundKaren attended Central Michigan University, where she studied a double major in marketing and retail management. She is also currently on track to receive her CPM designation from IREM.
Activities and AssociationsKaren is an active member of local, state and National Apartment Associations, as well as IREM. She is also a member of the Optimist Association, volunteer coaches in her spare time, as well as serving on the board of the Plainfield Community Middle School PTO.
Heidi Galey
Director, Property Management Operations
Professional BackgroundHeidi Galey brings over 20 years of industry experience to her position as Director: Property Management Operations. Before joining Trinitas, she worked for several large, publicly-traded real estate management companies in a number of different capacities including as Director of Sales and Marketing, Regional Property Manager for a flagship portfolio of over 3,700 units, Director of Human Resources and Training and as Operations Manager for over 11,000 units. In addition to working with the large companies, Heidi has a proven track record of creating a successful in-house management division for a top 25 development company in her capacity as Director of Property Management. Niche market experience includes University Communities, Collegiate Housing, Call-Center implementation and commercial management. She has developed several nationally recognized marketing programs and is a certified trainer. Heidi brings a strong management, marketing and training influence to the Trinitas team.
Educational BackgroundFormal education includes Regent's College (London, England) and Indiana University.
Activities and AssociationsHeidi has been an active committee member and trainer for the Indiana Apartment Association. She has also been involved with the NAA and other regional associations. In 2010, Heidi accepted the nomination for Multi Family Executives Rising Star of the Year Award.
